The Elgon Religious Society Of Friends Church Quakers or Lugulu Yearly Meeting of Friends was established in 1973 as the second yearly meeting of Friends Church in Kenya. ... It covers most parts of Bungoma County. Elgon Religious Society of Friends (ERSF) is part of the large Friends Church (Quakers) that was started in England in the 16th Century by George Fox. ERSF is affiliated to Friends United Meeting (FUM) ,it is currently being composed of 65 Monthly Meetings. The head offices are located at Lugulu on Kitale Webuye road on the left side just before Lugulu Mission Hospital.

To win souls for Christ and disciple people to Christian maturity and equip them for service in the church and society at large.

Mission

To carry out the work that Jesus Christ started in pursuit of the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20). To continue the work of preaching, teaching, healing, and services started by Jesus Christ and inspire followers to share the love of Jesus Christ with the rest of the world.

ERSF LEADERS

Elgon Religious Society of Friends has ushered in new leaders during the 52^nd Annual General Conference held at Joseph Makhanu Friends Primary School. The Conference started on 14th to 18th August 2024. The main leaders are: Presiding Clerk: Timothy Nasinga, Vice Presiding Clerk: Zablon Treasurer: Joseph Walela. May God use them as vessels to help the church grow.
